Stag and Hen Manchester is the original and first Manchester company offering stag and hen weekends in the city. Since our very first party in 2009 we have organised and continue to organise hundreds of bespoke, memorable parties in the city. Check out what all our groups thought on our hen testimonials and stag testimonials pages on our website and on our Facebook page here.
Living in Manchester means that our personal knowledge and first-hand experience gives us a head start on the latest trends, venues and activities that open as well as the hidden gems – allowing us to make sure your party is as unique and memorable as it can be. Our local base also allows us to build great relationships with suppliers that more nationally focused firms are unable to achieve.
Our size means that unlike other stag and hen companies we can also provide a friendly, flexible personal service from initial enquiry right through until the last drink is drunk! No request is too small, no question too trivial and we are constantly available.
To give you a little flavour of what we’re about read on for our employee profiles…
Not one to be described as a shrinking violet, I’m friendly, a bit loud and love having fun in whatever form – even if it means sending myself up. Like most blokes, I love watching all kinds of sports and attending live matches (especially when I’ve managed to blag tickets courtesy of my old role at Manchester City F.C.!). It’s a real perk of running my own business that I can watch the matches and games in the day if needed.
I love listening to music and I’m not averse to drunkenly embarrassing myself at karaoke -my renditions would probably make the X-Factor’s Best of Rejects show! Can’t Cook or Won’t Cook – either way, I’m regularly at nearby Greggs and Morrison’s for breakfast and lunch. I love good food though and eating out – if only in part because I don’t have to taste my own creations. Any girl wanting to “catch” me will definitely have to teach me how to do more than cook a pot noodle!
Don’t worry though hens – with two twenty-something female employees in the office and an in-depth knowledge of the city, I’m perfectly in tune with what makes a great hen weekend and night out!
My favourite stag do would have to be a luxury penthouse apartment, a fine dining meal, a bar crawl with beer wenches and VIP strip club entry – because when I treat myself I don’t hold back.
I’m known amongst my friends for being the most talkative person they know, who can and does talk to everyone and anyone – at 100mph when I’m excited or passionate about something. I love dancing – to anything and everything – and have on occasion got into dance-offs with men (and won!). I’m also pretty competitive and recently swooped in on Mike’s go on Connect 4 when I thought he would make our team lose! We did win though….
Please share all your hen and stag do photos and stories (especially the embarrassing ones!). My worst hen party moment? Falling over when a little worse for wear and dislocating my thumb at my friend’s hen do in London – the gas and air didn’t touch the sides and they had to put me under to put it back in. Needless to say, when I couldn’t use my hand for a month, I told my boss at the time I had fallen down the London tube steps though I think he knew the truth!
Funnily enough, I wasn’t quite suited to the formalities of a legal career and much prefer my role now – blogging about all things stag and hen related, keeping abreast of all the new bars, restaurants and activities in the cities and generally dealing with much more friendly customers in our lovely and informal office environment.
I’ve recently got engaged and so I’m not only passionate about all things stag and hen related, I also love hearing about wedding related matters! I’m an avid bargain hunter (I was hooked on ebay from an early age) so get in touch if you want me to share amazing wedding deals I’ve come across!
My favourite hen party would have to be a luxury 4* apartment stay, a Friday evening pamper party, It’s a Knockout (my competitive spirit’s kicking in), a Butler in the Buff and a VIP booth at a club where I can dance the night away.
For some reason, everyone tells me I look quite innocent until I get drunk – when I then transform into a party-loving, dance-all-night kind of girl! For some reason, though, I have a kick-in self-preservation mode when drunk, which means my friends regularly manage to finish off all my cocktails. With a love of Latin American dancing from an early age, I love any opportunity to put those moves into practice. I’m loyal to my friends and family and also apparently kind and determined (read stubborn)!
At university I loved cheerleading and we got as far as the world championships. So with a love of dancing and the acrobatics of cheerleading, I’m perfectly placed to pick out top dance and sporting activities for our hens.
Oh, and apparently my boyfriend looks like Olly Murs – I’m not complaining!
Having graduated last year, this is my first “proper” job and I love the informal environment and planning parties. Not sure my boss is quite so sure of his decision to hire me though after I fell off a chair into his lap on my first Christmas do!
If money was no object, I’d love nothing better than to fly to New York on a private jet, have a pampering session, see a show and then head onto some bars and clubs. I’m not the best at saving though and I think some of our UK options are pretty luxurious and way more affordable!
Having spent most of my career in accounts for businesses that could be seen by many as boring, when the opportunity came up to come aboard at Stag and Hen I grabbed it. Ever since, I haven’t looked back – it’s great having the opportunity to try out some wonderful activities (such as a luxurious spa and the odd Butler in the Buff!), working with our lovely suppliers and dealing with our even more wonderful clients – I’ve been known to have a good old natter with more than one or two!
I do occasionally have to leave it to Jessica and Aisha to tell me about trends for the younger ladies we deal with but I am learning as I go along!! I definitely won’t be telling my husband about “Mr and Mrs” games though as I would hate to get any questions wrong and I think I may leave the theme and fancy dress ideas to the other ladies for the moment. Don’t think I haven’t got a soft spot for all you stags though – I have been known in the past to give some advice about poker sessions in strip clubs back when that was an activity we offered!
What would be my ideal hen party? Well, I think staying in a luxury apartment or hotel room with a cocktail masterclass, followed by a good boogie and then recovering on the Sunday with a spa day. However, if I had some friends that wanted a bit of action, my favourite would have to be a session on extreme Segway- it’s super fun!
I look forward to chatting to all you stags and hens going forwards when it comes to all things payment related. Don’t worry, I am not a mean accountant unless I absolutely have to be, so I always chase payment with a smile!
