Our Manchester assault course isn’t for the faint-hearted!
Situated only a few miles outside of Manchester in Salford Quays this hidden gem of an adventure course is a must for those hens who want to try something adventurous during their Manchester Hen Weekend. Within the large indoor arena there is a ground floor army style assault course for those hens who don’t do heights as well as an adventure rope course and 13 station aerial trek 35 ft above the ground for the high flyers in the group. Used by Salford City Reds rugby team for fitness and team building your three hour session will be great fun.
Activities include the Giant Swing, the aptly named Leap of Faith (the bride is first on this one), the Elvis Pole, Tyre Pit and the 13 station Aerial Trek to name but a few. The arena can hold a maximum of 40 people in groups of ten with one instructor per group. Once you arrive you will get a brief introduction and ten minute safety briefing before heading into the Arena to enjoy the obstacles at this Manchester assault course.
That Grounded Feeling
This experience is based exclusively on the ground floor assault course where those not keen on heights can enjoy a fitness focused course of obstacles with the emphasis on fun and teamwork. Don’t worry though - despite the fitness focus there are no drill instructors barking orders, just experienced members of the assault course team there to help you have a good time. Why not get the bride dressed up in fancy dress to add another angle or think up a series of dares for later on for those who don’t complete obstacles?
After a short warm up this experience will be spent on the higher adventure ropes course and aerial trek 35 ft up from the ground. Our favourite obstacle on this course is the Elvis Pole where four hens climb up 40 ft and then try to share a platform 18 inches square on top of the somewhat wobbly Elvis pole. Send the bride on the Leap of Faith where you climb up 25 ft and test your nerve by jumping from a platform to catch a swing. Then finally the aerial trek where the 13 stations include tightropes, pendulums and a traversing wall.
This challenge combines the indoor ground assault course with high ropes and the aerial trek to give you a complete experience of this Manchester Adventure Course Centre. You will start with a series of obstacles on the ground floor before heading to the high ropes to do the Leap of Faith and Giant Swing before finishing with the 13 station Aerial Trek. For the most active hens it’s a unique experience that will really add to the memories of your Manchester Hen Weekend.
Why not add a competitive edge to your Manchester assault course experience and ask the instructors at the course to arrange a competition either within your group or between other groups in the Arena.
The minimum number needed to take any one of these experiences is 12 hens with a maximum of up to 40 hens -the price per person varies depending on the size of group.
