Spooky Halloween Events in Manchester

Halloween is soon approaching and where better to go to a scare-worthy event than Manchester city centre.
Manchester is going all out this Halloween season with lots of events to take part in, some are not for the faint-hearted! So, get your scariest fancy dress on and take a look at these events, guaranteed to make you scream.
Manchester Halloween Festival
From the 24th - 31st October Manchester city centre will turn into a very spooky town, in Manchester’s first Halloween Festival! During the festival pumpkins will be all over the streets, a giant spider will be crawling around and some eerie cemetery gates will be put up to welcome visitors. Shops windows will look likes scenes from a horror movie, and the town hall, Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser and Selfridges will be lit up with freaky decorations. Witches cackling and howling wolves will also be heard throughout the streets to add to the spooky vibe. If you want to up the scare factor whilst in town ghost walks will be available.
For those of you who love to party and go all out with your fancy dress the Spooktacular Ball is for you! Held at a secret location in the city centre (location revealed nearer the time) the ball is a glitzy and glamorous event with live music, DJ’s and a raffle held. Guests are asked to make a big effort with their Halloween costumes and it is strictly fancy dress only for this scary ball. The event is on 29th October and tickets are £20 for early birds (book before 30th September) or £25 normal price. Previous balls have attracted celebrity guests including Helen Flanagan, Brooke Vincent and Chelsea Healey. The event runs from 7pm – 1am and the money raised is for charity Forever Manchester, which helps community activity across Greater Manchester. Get your tickets fast as they do sell out quick. Great Northern ‘House of the Dead’
A terrifying attraction will open its doors at Victoria Warehouse this Halloween! The ‘House of the Dead’ is a unique horror experience to make you scream your socks off. As you enter your nightmare you will walk through horror movie like sets, corridors of terror and see scream worthy monsters and ghouls. Director Richard Cottier said ‘We look forward to welcoming the areas bravest men and women into our terrifying scare attraction this Halloween season.’ The attraction is open on various dates from the 14th October and ticket prices range from £18-£20. Time slots start at 7:30pm then every 30 minutes until 10:30pm. Enter if you dare!
Capital FM’s Monster Mash-Up
On 30th October Capital FM’s Monster Mash-Up concert will be coming to the Manchester Academy. This Halloween concert will have a variety of artists to get you in the party mood including: Craig David, Bob Sinclair, Sigala, Kungs and Sigma. Guests are advised to dress up in their most frightening outfits for the party! Doors open at 7pm, the concert starts at 8pm and ends at 11pm. Tickets are on sale now at £30 plus booking fee. Get down to the spookiest gig of all!
