Manchester Beer Gardens

Where to head when the sun is shining

OK, so Manchester may not be renowned for round-the-clock sun but if you get lucky on your Manchester stag do or hen party then you may as well enjoy a cold, crisp wine or ice-cold en-route to any activities you may have planned. We’re here to help with our guide to which of Manchester’s beer gardens we head to when it’s a great day for drinking.

We love historic Castlefield and Duke’s 92 has got a prime spot with great views over the Castlefield basin. This place is buzzing in summer which is not a surprise – it’s got an abundance of outdoor seating and the food is award-winning.

Why not order one of their gigantic pizza sharing boards – perfect for sharing on your Manchester stag do or hen do? Their chicken wing buckets are also delicious and a perfect bar snack for sharing. We’ve spotted a couple of well-known celebrities here and so if it’s good enough for them…

This bar is likely to appeal to those on a Manchester hen party looking for a touch of class in chic but cosy and intimate surroundings. One sunny days you can sip your champagne on the comfy outside terrace area overlooking The Great Northern Warehouse. Epernay champagne bar says it’s Manchester’s best kept secret and we happen to agree.

If you want to have a sun-drenched bar crawl but don’t want to have to stumble too far inbetween bars, then Deansgate Locks has plenty of bars with a view over the canal –maybe not one of Manchester’s beer gardens per se but there’s enough space to lap up the sun. Home to Baa Bar and Revolution, this a really popular area for a Manchester hen party or stag do.
