Stag and Hen Manchester is based in Manchester so we’re able to pass on the kind of knowledge you only get when you’re local. The kind of knowledge you get when you live and breathe the best bars, restaurants and things to do. Not the kind of knowledge you get from agents who’ve visited the city a few times.

So read on for the best Manchester stag party ideas there are, from our painstaking research. (OK, so maybe that’s a lie!)

Manchester’s Nightlife

Lots of our stag groups come to Manchester for the very reason that its music scene is the stuff of legends. Oasis, The Hacienda, The Happy Monday, The Courteneers, The Stone Roses…need we go on?!

Whilst the days of partying like Bez in the Hacienda may be over, Manchester’s nightlife scene is still one of the best in the country.

As with any big city, where you’ll want to head on your stag night in Manchester depends on what you’re after.

If you like to discover the best independent bars and up-and-coming music then The Northern Quarter area is a must. However, as with any cool bars, large groups of lads aren’t always welcome, so you my need to get a little creative to beat the bouncers!

If stylish bars where you need to dress suave are more your thing, then Deansgate and Spinningfields are where to head.

If you prefer to just let your hair down, party hard and maybe even indulge in some fancy dress then head to Deansgate Locks and The Printworks, where large groups of stags are welcome.

We’ve got lots of different nightlife options to choose from depending on what you’re after. Just head to our Nightlife Booths and Passes section for Manchester stag night ideas.

Manchester isn’t all about the brilliant bars and clubs, it’ got lots of evening entertainment to choose from too, like top comedy night, the dogs and regular gigs. Why not check out our After Dark Activities section for stag night ideas in Manchester that don’t just revolve around necking back the booze?

Dining Out

Manchester’s foodie scene is trailblazing ahead of even London, with what seems like a new restaurant opening up every week. In fact, that’s about accurate: in the first half of 2015 there were no less than 30 new restaurant openings.

That’s why we have a section devoted to Manchesters buzzing restaurant scene here here and if you love street food then you’ll want to check out our blog on Manchester Food and Drink Festival.

With a large groups of stags, getting a restaurant to accept a booking can sometimes be a challenge.  We’ve done the hard work for you and you can check out the wide range of restaurant options we have here.

A stag do isn’t just about keeping the stag happy, it’s ensuring everyone else has fun too!

Manchester is well connected by trainsb, buses and an airport. Manchester Airport is around a 20 minute drive from the city centre, with regular trains to and from the city centre.

When in the city it’s Manchester it’s easy to get around. It’s small enough to walk an overground tram, The Metro, and a free bus shuttle service.

To save yourselves as much money as possible, book plane tickets as far out as possible. Cheap train tickets are available 13 weeks out and for even cheaper travel you could consider the Mega Bus. If you can stand the long journey then it’s mega cheap (see what we did there?). For example, single tickets from London to Manchester start from around £5pp if booked in advance.

Book Accommodation Early

Lots of stag dos like the bachelor pad  luxury of apartments we offer, at prices similar to hose paid for hotels.

Not only is Manchester an immensely popular stag and hen destination, its famous football clubs, theatre and arenas attracting top names make booking accommodation a bit of a fight to the death at times.

So  the earlier you book the better chance you have of securing accommodation, as well as making sure you get the best possible prices and accommodation in the heart of the city centre (because nobody likes waiting for taxis!).

We generally advise that stag and hen parties book their packages 3 to 6 months out, depending on the weekend they have in mind. Activities can generally be added a little later if you can’t make up your mind, though usually it’s best to book no later than 3 months out to ensure you get availability and the best times.
